Salary: £42,000 – £45,600 per year
Our client, a leader in their specific field are continuing to grow and change. As a result, they are looking for a talented and enthusiatic individual to play a leading role in defining and developing the Project Delivery function -someone who will be responsible for control of critical client based projects, client liaison including pre-sales and internal product/software/web/mobile app development projects.
The role will involve:
* Client engagement and management.
* Co-ordination of all delivery activities and acting as the escalation point for all development issues related to the project.
* Overall development project leadership and direction of project teams in the delivery of high quality systems/products.
* Complete understanding of the development estimate and project scope
* Co-ordinating with the development team and external stakeholders to ensure that the right people are working on the right project areas at the right time, with clear expectations of milestones and goals.
* Mentoring the project team and driving consistent process.
* Playing a leading role in the Pre-Sales process, engaging with senior business users, determining requirements and priorities as well as resolving issues.
* Participating in project evaluation meetings, management team meetings and other related activities.
Skills & Experience required:
* Previous experience gained from Development, Technical Lead or Project Management roles within a software environment
* Significant exposure to Mobile Applications.
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle
* Knowledge/experience of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills
* Ability to effectively communicate with and motivate technical teams
* Experience of working on bespoke software development projects.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence.
* Project Management skills including: Pre-Sales – Estimating, Scope Management, and Cost Analysis. Delivery – Risk Management, Change Management, Issue/Conflict Resolution, Testing Plans, Training Plans and Team Management.
* An established track record of completing projects on time and to budget
* A technical background, possibly in software engineering would be useful.
The role will be office based with some travel to client sites within the UK and occasional trips to the European based development team.
