The Ability Matters Group is an international Group of healthcare companies with more than 500 employees and annual revenues exceeding £40m. We are a market leader in our sector and our activities are principally in the provision of services and products in terms of mobility and the provision of artificial limbs and orthotics.

Due to the continuing growth of the business we are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join our team.

This is a key and varied role to ensure that all HR administration is dealt with efficiently and accurately and that all systems are up to date and maintained at all times. You will have proven administration experience, ideally within a similar role, and you will join a small busy team that is friendly and supportive.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

The right candidate will thrive in a fast paced business environment and enjoy challenges. Impeccable attention to detail, IT skills (MS Office package), organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines are essential in this role. You should also be a good team player with exceptional communications skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing employee information such as new starters, leavers and recording absence and benefits.
• General maintenance of the HR databases and system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Compilation of standard letters, documents, reports and contracts of employment.
• Assisting the team to effectively manage recruitment activities, including liaising with line managers to facilitate advertisements in jobsites, arranging interviews for candidates, referencing, pre-employment checks and providing the associated documentation in a timely manner.
• Daily maintenance of the HR email boxes and escalating any ER issues or payroll information to the relevant HR team member.
• Supporting managers and employees with information on company procedures and policies in a timely and effective manner.
• General administration including updates and issuing weekly communications, filing, archiving and maintaining training and appraisal records.

Training will be provided and this role represents a good first step into developing a career in HR. Good IT skills in MS Office are essential and experience of HRIS systems is desirable.
