Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer – Brighton

Salary: £28,800 – £36,000 per year

My client, a specialist Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Flood Risk, Drainage and Hydraulic Modelling, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Design Engineer to join a supportive Team based in Brighton.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Drainage Strategy or Drainage, Pipeline or Sewerage Design using Microdrainage.

Applicants are also required to have an interest in Client Contact and Project Management.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally although home working a few days a week is available.

This exciting opportunity will offer candidates the chance to join a fast paced Consultancy based in the heart of Brighton. As a Drainage Engineer you will have the opportunity to mentor team members, manage projects and complete Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage and Modelling Projects for Pre-planning Projects for Private Sector Clients, Private Developers, Insurance Companies and Local Authorities.

You will also be supported to complete Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Consequence Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Flood Risk Maps using ArcGIS, Drainage Strategy and SuDS Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

You may also have the opportunity to manage projects and liaise with Clients to develop new opportunities.
