Structural Steel – Health & Safety Advisor / Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Health & Safety Advisor/Manager to join a very well established Structural Steel sub contractor based in the Wembley area. The business has been established for over 25 years and provides an excellent platform in which to launch your career.

The position of Health & Safety Advisor/Manager has come about due to a sustained period of growth experienced by the company. They can offer excellent long term career opportunity for the right candidate with no ceiling as to how far you can progress. Initially a basic salary of up to £42,000 – £48,000is on offer.

The Role – Health & Safety Advisor/Manager

• Writing Method Statements & Risk Assessments (For Site, Workshop & Head Office)
• COSHH Assessments
• Carry out site safety inspections & Workshop safety inspections
• Check Site and workshop safety folders, ensuring managers
• Conduct Tool Box Talks
• Conduct competency assessments
• Accident / Incident investigations
• Work with the Director of Quality & Compliance on ISO 18001, ensuring the business fulfil the requirements and sit the Audits with the Director
• Complete the Health, Safety & Environmental aspects of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires from clients; site the Achilles and SSiP audit with the Director regarding HS&E
• Compile Operation & Maintenance manuals for all Jobs (The HS&E aspects)

Desired Qualifications
• NVQ Level 4 Occupational Health & Safety Practise
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Environmental Management
• Scaffold Safety Inspector
• Advanced Scaffold Inspection
• UKATA Control of Asbestos Regulations Trainer
• Asbestos Awareness including Enclosure Entry RSOH Certificate
• Confined Space Entry with Escape Sets
• Accident Investigation and Reporting
• Lift Awareness Training
• CSCS – Safety Manager
