Salary: £30,000 – £44,400 + 10% bonus

This role sites within our NOC in Peterborough servicing our business customers, including public sector, SME and enterprise level. There’s a mix of Data and Systems Engineers working both shift and day roles. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring our network and services remain up and running, including monitoring of the network and responding to alerts, proactive maintenance, investigating the root cause of faults, ownership of minor and complex incidents and project work as required in relation to the network.

So, what are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a proven aptitude for problem solving using analytical techniques to formulate solutions, industry experience in an enterprise scale infrastructure and working knowledge of Cisco, Alcatel or Netgear routers/switches and protocols/networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN knowledge, telephony and an understanding of layer 7 of the OSI model. Exposure to and remote management of Data Network Equipment and Management Platforms would also be an advantage, as well as certifications in either Cisco, N+ or Juniper etc.
