Warehouse Operative / Production Line Support

Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year

A World class, global manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Operative to work at their modern manufacturing site in Nottingham. You will be responsible for assisting the manufacturing lines / machines to ensure they have the correct tools, raw materials and paperwork to operate in an efficient and effective way.

The role is quite varied with your tasks including, but not limited to:

Pulling orders from stores to ensure all tooling and gauges stated on paperwork are available, and are issued to the production order.
Verifying that programs are stated on production orders for the required machining operations/centres.
Completed orders are removed and moved to the inspection area to reduce waiting times between operations, and then finally to stores.
Remove excess material trays from production area, returns area, and return to the stores area.
Complete returns process for tools and gauges to tooling cabinets
Informing Production Supervisor of any orders or material problems, which could affect the capacity plan or stop production.
Maintain work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner. 
Participates in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement activities when required.

Shift:

Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm (small flex on start / finish times if required)
Warehouse Operative Knowledge and Skills Required:

Experience of working within a Manufacturing/Warehouse environment.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Good communication skills.
Good working knowledge of SAP
Comfortable and supportive in process improvement opportunities.
