One of our civil engineering partners has won a number of substantial projects resulting in a need to recruit full time civil engineering Project Managers and Engineers in the East / North of Scotland.

Project Manager

As Project Lead of a civil engineering and structures package, you will be tasked with the planning and scoping of the project, pre-start meetings with the client, co-ordinating and management all engineering elements on site, continual programming of the package and ensuring a safe, timely, profitable and quality product.
You will be responsible for pulling the team together, developing the relationship with the Principal Contractor, assist the estimators with the front end of the tenders, programming & planning, phasing documents, method statements, presentations and client meetings. On site you will be tasked with co-ordinating all works surrounding the engineering and production of the package and liasing closely with the commercial department to ensure the site is running profitably and to schedule.

Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will actively promote all H+S Initiatives and in doing so ensuring all Health and Safety standard are adhered to and your own company’s inductions are comprehensive and cover all risks and hazards on site.

You will have an approachable and team-orientated man management style and have a demonstrable career in managing a workforce to a tight program successfully.

Having worked your way up from Graduate Engineer in Civil Engineering – Site Engineer – Agent – Manager, you will possess an SMSTS as well as all ICE and HSE recognised relevant certificates. You will be ambitious in all aspects of your career and should be keen to attend further training on different construction methods and H+S initiatives.

The projects being carried out by this contractor include but are not limited to, Education, Leisure, Commercial and Energy projects. All civil engineering packages within the construction projects are moderate – high value and scoped tightly thus requires an organised and effective Project Manager to deliver on time and within budget.
