Fleet & Maintenance Manager (Waste / Recycling)

Salary: £26,000 per year

A vacancy has arisen for a Fleet & Maintenance Engineer at my clients busy recycling operations based in the West Midlands. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

* Provide the mechanical repair, installation, and planned maintenance of plant & vehicles

* Identifying and repairing mechanical faults with factory services and equipment in order to maintain efficient operations

* Setting up and making mechanical adjustments to the plant equipment and services in order to maintain efficient operations

* Observing plant & fleet equipment and services to establish what planned maintenance work requires to be carried out

* Ability to carry out any related work; use of testing equipment, welding, burning, fabrication, mechanical faults to name a few

Required skills / qualifications:

* Must be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer, educated to HND level

* Have experience of recycling plant and fleet maintenance specifically municipal waste vehicles

* People Management

* Workshop Management

* Experience in providing a plant maintenance service within a continuous process production environment

* Demonstrate and encourage good team working

* Excellent communication skills, personal drive, and customer focus

* A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement would be advantageous

* Compliance with procedures

* Computer literate

* Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations
