Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
My client is one of the largest manufactures of food to go products in the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Planner to work within one of their sites based in Buckinghamshire.
On a day to day basis your duties will include:
To produce daily and weekly plans / schedules for all units in a timely manner to set deadlines as set out by the Planning Manager
To report to the Planning Manager and Production Managers the adherence to plan information on a daily basis and to attend all production meetings throughout the working day
To manage the daily forecasts of orders for all customers and review against actual orders and report at the earliest possible occasion any shortfalls or over stocks in orders to the Planning Manager
To help in the implementation of new production planning tools that maximise customer service levels within the set criteria (i.e. minimal waste, maximum efficiency)
Communicate with all areas from factory personnel to Sales managers.
Adjust Daily, Weekly & Monthly planning tools in response to inventory adjustments made by the Stock Integrity Team
Liaise with the Stock Integrity Team to investigate variances in inventory levels identified either on SAP or physically.
Monitor the plus and minus stock adjustments.
Manage stock shelf life (in Stock), monitor stock age profile vs. gross requirements on a weekly basis.
Attend S&OP meetings as required.
Report and analyse Key Performance Indicators
Follow all company SAP stock procedures, and actively encourage adherence.
Ideal candidates will have a background in food production, preferably having worked within a food planning environment before. You must also have experience on MRP systems. You should also be PC literate and able to multi task coordinating between raw material ordering and NPD departments.
