Based in the vibrant technical hub of Swansea, this is a unique opportunity to work at a world leader within User Experience, User Engagement and Web Development. Working closely within a multi-national team, this organisation are now seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team at their purpose built offices in Swansea. This is a key role in a rapidly growing team, where the successful Senior Software Engineer will be working on a diverse number of client projects using a variety of web based technologies within the MEAN and LAMP technical stacks. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who live and breathe new and bleeding edge technologies and will be working with clients such as Microsoft, Nokia and Jaguar Land Rover. In addition to the technical side of this job, 20% of the role will be focused on leading and developing a team of highly skilled software engineers. This will range from raw graduates to mid-level technology agnostic software engineers who thrive within a research and positive software development environment. This opportunity has great potential and can lead to a potential development management role or a ‘hands on’ Technical Architect role.

Essential Experience/Requirements:
* Proven commercial experience of web technologies such as AngularJS, NodeJS and HTML5
* Strong background in client facing delivery of web based applications
* Experience communicating and working with both technical and non-technical teams.
* Demonstrable experience of career and personal development within new technologies

Desirables:
* Experience within the SDLC ideally within a digital environment
* Understanding of UX
* Experience within either LAMP or MEAN technologies

What you will be doing?

* Reporting to the UK Managing Director and working closely with a multi-disciplined team of web professionals, you will be responsible for delivering a world class digital service to clients.
* Design and develop solutions using the latest web and native technologies, including MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, NodeJS.
* Lead and mentor a team of IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
* Promote an environment of research and development on emerging technologies that can add value to clients.
* Occasional travel to client sites when required
