Junior Draughtsman

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

We are delighted to be recruiting a Junior/Trainee Draughtsman to join a growing steelwork Engineering company based in West Mids, Nr West Bromwich. The successful applicant can expect a good starting salary, friendly working environment and a rewarding career.

The company gets involved with a range of steelwork projects for the construction sector, but mainly steel framed buildings of modular/light gauge construction methods.

This vacancy would suit a graduate, or a Draughtsman from another sector of the industry, or an individual with some CAD or steelwork experience who is seeking a change of direction.

Junior/Trainee Draughtsman role:

•To produce 3D models of a range of steelwork projects.

•Produce all drawings (for fabrication and erection purposes), material lists etc. using the companies Tekla cad software.

Junior/Trainee Draughtsman requirements:

•Previous experience in, or knowledge of the steelwork fabrication industry would be advantageous.

•Experience with CAD software, particularly Tekla CAD software would be advantageous however software training may be given to those with experience/knowledge of steelwork.

•Good communication skills (written and verbal)
