CAD Technician

Due to significant increase in production, my client who are a well-established and successful Manufacturing organisation based in Lanarkshire are currently recruiting for experienced, dynamic and self-motivated CAD Technicians to join their busy design office.

Job purpose:

Working within a small but close knit Design team, you will be responsible for the design and detailing of multiple contracts and will be responsible for managing these contracts right through to the construction stage.

Key responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting drawings using AutoCAD software
• Detail and produce layout drawings for the customers approval using AutoCAD
• Produce layouts, design and manufacturing schedules
• Work and manage a number of contracts at any given time by prioritising contracts based on site dates and production needs
• Liaise and work closely with customers and suppliers alike

Essential requirements:

• Proven track record of reading and interpreting drawings using AutoCAD software
• Basic understanding of Construction and Building Standards & regulations
• The ability to prioritise own workload
• Work to strict lead in times/deadlines
• Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care with excellent communication skills.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday 08.30am until 4.45pm.
