Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
We are happy to be working with our client who is a specialist manufacturer of stylish and practical washroom dispensers, bathroom dispensers and toilet dispensers for commercial use, including manual and infrared dispensers. They also offer a range of other washroom fittings including hot air hand dryers, nappy change units, taps and flush valves; plus a wide portfolio of bathroom accessories and consumables.
Now due to continual growth and success they are looking to add a Product Development & Solidworks Design Engineer to their team.
Purpose:
-To assist in improving products quality and functionality based on feedback from sales and marketing departments.
-To head up design & improvements of products & provide drawings for sales & production
Reports to: Product Development Manager
Skills/Attributes Required:
Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
Education/Experience Required:
Qualified in SolidWorks. Driveworks experience would be good.
Sound technical ability & understanding of mechanical engineering. Plastics & sheet metal experience if possible.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in resolving product issues through communicating with suppliers/manufacturers. Continually assist in improving our product range in accordance with the sales and marketing plan. Manage new product ideas and progress development following direction from Sales & Marketing Director. Work on bespoke designs; ensure samples meet expectations of client(s).
Performance Objectives:
To reduce quality issues to a minimum. Site problems sorted effectively, efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction. Products developed and improved to keep ahead of competition.
