Purchase Ledger Clerk

(Accounts Assistant)

c£21,500.00

Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour for lunch

Experience Required:

This is role that will only be suited to someone with purchase ledger experience, this is an office-based role and we are looking for applicants that are within a 30-minute commute of Brighouse and that ideally have their own transport. You must have excellent attention to detail, be able to work at pace and enjoy working to deadlines and have a confident and professional telephone manner. You will enjoy being busy and multi-tasking and have a natural team-orientated mind-set. Due to the nature of the role, you must also be trustworthy and have good commercial awareness.

The Duties:

  • Scanning & Inputting Purchase Ledger Invoices onto the system [Kerridge]
  • Coding approved invoices
  • Assisting with supplier query resolution
  • Statement Reconciliations
  • Processing of weekly Fuel Invoices
  • Petty Cash
  • Posting to Nominal Ledger and Purchase Ledger
  • Assist with other Purchase ledger Duties.
  • Stationery control

The Company:

Our client’s business has been established for over 50 years, it started as a family run business which through expansion and success is now part of a plc Group. They have six depots throughout the UK and their primary business is selling new and used commercial vehicle; they also offer other services such as servicing and breakdown cover. This new role will be based from their Brighouse Depot in Huddersfield, just off the M62
