Health & Safety Manager

Salary: £54,000 per year

Health & Safety Manager, Hull, up to £45,000pa plus car allowance

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a hugely successful, growing construction company based in Hull who are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to manage the H&S management system and to ensure that all employees are working safely.

This is a ‘hands on’ role so we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to be out with the teams. Our client already has a lot of the paperwork in place, so this role is about making health and safety a fundamental part of the company culture and finding practical solutions to health and safety issues.

This role will involve the following;

• Advising on H&S legislation
• Attending courses etc. to keep informed of changes
• Reviewing company documentation and updating accordingly
• Keeping abreast with regulations
• Visiting projects and sites where installations are taking place
• Carrying out inspections / audits
• Carrying out investigations into accidents and near misses
• Highlight areas of training

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing health & safety within the construction industry
• Qualified in H&S
• Hands on skills of being able to manage on going continuous improvement with H&S
• Attention to detail
