Student Engagement Project Coordinator 

Due to further expansion at STEM learning, we are looking for a Student Engagement Project Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to work for a world leading organisation that supports STEM education across the UK.

The Student Engagement Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of a portfolio of projects and programme activity for STEM Learning, which impacts positively on young people with the greatest need to develop their STEM skills, aspirations and attainment to help them thrive. This is primarily be delivered through the research placements programme and summer schools. Additional support and engagement will come through embedding activities within other STEM Learning programmes such as Enthuse Partnerships.

The principal role of the Student Engagement Project Coordinator is to:

• • Provide high quality project management across all aspects of the student facing portfolio of support and cross project activities, working with appropriate internal and external colleagues
  • Driving efficiencies across the National STEM Learning Network to ensure a ‘joined-up and simple’ offer to schools and colleges. Focus first and foremost on achievement of impact and satisfying funder needs.
  • Ensure that all teachers, support staff, schools and colleges are aware of, the support available for students from disadvantaged backgrounds through STEM Learning’s programmes
  • Working with internal and external colleagues, drive and stimulate engagement of young people, teachers and schools and colleges with STEM Learning’s student engagement programmes.
  • Organising and monitoring inter-connected projects, working with others to ensure appropriate data collection, management and analysis relating to activities, to evidence impact, provide timely and accurate reporting, and support decision-making.
  • Effective matrix management and coordination of quarterly plans in line with programme requirements, working closely with a variety of teams across STEM Learning and external partners.

The successful Student Engagement Project Coordinator will have:

• Ideally a track record in establishing, managing and developing successful programmes and networks encouraging schools, colleges, volunteers and young people’s engagement with Enrichment programmes and activities.
• Excellent all-round communication skills, orally and in writing. The ability to influence effectively, and interact with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
• Experience of managing networks and programmes successfully – achieving objectives, to timelines and to budget
• An appreciation of the STEM environment and the players and partners involved

The ability to think analytically and strategically will enable you to respond creatively to challenges whilst your highly developed communication skills will enable you to work remotely and effectively with colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders.

• £33-37K
