Debt Collector/ Collections Officer Paying £26,400 (OTE £28k)

Our client, an exciting company based in Highgate, are looking for a dynamic telephone-based Debt Collector or Collections Officer. You will be working within a fast paced team where your communication and negotiation skills will be put to use on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will need to be target orientated and comfortable working within a pressurised environment. Paying £26,400 basic, there is over target earnings which can result in the successful applicant making upto £28k per annum. Experience with chasing consumer debt would be ideal for this role.

Main duties of the role include:

– Proactive collection of cash from overdue debtors
– Collection of accounts within the debt process
– Taking inbound and making outbound collection calls
– Negotiate mutually agreeable payment plans
– Ensure customers are aware of the consequences of non-payment
– Escalating accounts where appropriate to litigation
– Respond to complaints raised, professionally and within agreed timescales
– Support the team and department in the delivery of team and company objectives
