Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs Scientist – Central London

Opportunity:

This is a brand new opportunity that has been created due to expansion.

My client a leading pharmaceutical company is looking to recruit a Medical Affairs Scientist to support the implementation of a Code Compliant system for all marketing promotional and non-promotional drug product activities throughout the company and the marketplace, ensuring the company is in line with the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) standards, the MHRA blue guide for advertising and promotion and all applicable international Codes of Practice (EFPIA, IFPMA, and respective National Codes and National Regulatory Bodies) at all times.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Writing, editing and proof-reading promotional and non-promotional materials and activities such as posters, presentations, prescribing information and promotional, educational and medical communication material to ensure compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
• Working with the Brand Manager(s) to define, create and implement strategic brand plans, by providing medical and scientific input and participating in the development of key messages and core claims.
• Providing high quality medical and scientific expertise to the global marketing team, global sales team and to the medical information team to support the planning strategy and new product launches.
• Have an excellent understanding of various therapeutic areas such as ophthalmology and endocrinology.

This is a full time permanent role based in the Central London area with a great salary paying between £42,000 – £54,000 per annum with benefits including healthcare, holidays, pension, bonus…

Skills:

To apply for the role of Medical Affairs Scientist you will have the following:

• Life Science degree with experience of carrying out the above duties within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Previous Medical Information and Code Compliance experience working to the regulations as stated above.
• Medical and scientific writing experience.
