Machine Operator

Salary: £26,000 per year

Accept Recruitment are pleased to be working alongside our client based in LS12. Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit Machine Operatives to join this busy operation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of running production machines (ideally vacuum / thermo-forming machines) and have a keen eye for quality.

Shift pattern:

Currently operating set days or nights but there are plans to change onto rotating DNA shift pattern (Days – Nights – Afters) shift:

Current: days work Monday – Thursday (6am – 6pm) and Friday 6am until finish

nights work Monday – Thursday (6pm – 6am).

Proposed: rotating Days – Nights – Afters (6.15 – 14.15, 14.15 – 22.15, 22.15 – 6.15)

Days and Afters working Monday – Saturday

Nights working Sunday – Friday

You must be available to rotate across all three shifts.

Salary: £26,000per year + overtime above 40 hours as listed below:

Mon- Fri 40+ hrs – Time and a third

Saturday 40+ hrs – Time and Half

Sunday 40+ hrs – Double Time

Night shift – attracts shift allowance of £10 per shift

Key Responsibilities:

Working in a busy industrial production environment you will be involved with production of high-quality finished products. As our client is extremely customer focused you will be expected to demonstrate an excellent level of quality in your work and will always work to a high standard.

You will be operating Vacuum Forming machines. This is an automated process but requires operator to understand the process in order to change settings to rectify issues. You will be involved in changeovers (changing tooling on the machine and program settings) as well as maintaining production paperwork and recording downtime.

With good communication skills, you will be a team player with a flexible attitude to work. You must have excellent attention to detail, be enthusiastic with a thirst to learn, develop and progress.
