Software Developer: Java

Abrecco are recruiting a Java Developer on behalf of our client, a software consultancy based in Edinburgh producing complex enterprise scale business-critical systems using leading edge and open-source technologies. Ideally the successful candidate will have an excellent academic background having achieved a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a Computing, Maths, Physics or similar discipline. Candidates should have a genuine passion for technology and an interest in working with the latesttechnologies and methodologies. Skills required should include but not be limited to;

Essential
– Solid experience in an OO Environment (Including Design Patterns)
– Java EE
– Agile Methodology
– Degree educated in a relevant subject (2:1 or above)

Desirable
– An interest in or experience in Web Technologies (HTML 5, JavaScript, jQuery, KnockoutJS)
