Salary: £26,000 per year
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading nationwide law firm in their Costs Department as a Trainee Paralegal.
The main purpose of the role is the handling of costs claims under the PFR, MOJ and non-portal fixed costs including fixed litigation costs which will include the drafting and service of costs statements and may include the issuing proceedings for the recovery of costs and the handling of Aged Debt cases to deal with the enforcement of agreements on costs in litigated/non PFR matters where costs have been agreed and not paid.
Attention to detail, organisation and confidence in dealing with other professional bodies is imperative.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
*Manage own case portfolio
*Manage targets and objectives under supervision of a Team Manager
*Manage work flow
*Manage others work in the team when required due to holidays
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
*A working knowledge of different costs and how they are calculated.
*Knowledge of using a CMS
*Excellent communicative skills and telephone manner.
*Possess a professional attitude and work in a pro-active manner.
*Ability to communicate with clients/professional parties.
*Extremely organised and able to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
*Ability to work within a fast moving environment.
*An ability to work in a highly organised way, as part of a team and independently.
*Be punctual and conscientious.
Desirable Qualification Requirements: Minimum 2.1 Degree
The role would suit a bright Law graduate with some commercial experience or looking for an entry level role!
Hours are 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri
