As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing our Richmond-based store and providing a high quality retail experience to all customers. You’ll also manage a team of staff to ensure that performance targets are met.

Constantly seeking new ways to maximise income, you’ll promote Gift Aid to customers, maintain a high level of commercial awareness and encourage an excellent standard of customer care. You’ll manage the shop rota and recruit, train and co-ordinate the activities of staff and volunteers.

Ensuring that the shop premises are clean and tidy at all times, you’ll display goods in an attractive and presentable manner. Additionally, you’ll generate a high level of stock donations to meet sales requirements, whilst sorting and displaying stock in accordance with our guidelines.

Your other duties will include:

– Publicising the shop and enhancing our image through a professional retail service
– Ensuring that all administrative and financial procedures are followed
– Opening and closing the premises for trading hours

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Previous experience gained in a performance driven retail or customer-centric environment
– Experience of communicating with a diverse workforce and customer base
– Strong people management skills, including performance management and teamwork

As the Shop Manager, you must have superb communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach and strong commercial awareness.
