Stores / Warehouse Operative

My client is a leading designer and manufacturer of air conditioning and heating equipment. They offer high quality, innovative products to UK and international Markets.
Due to expansion they currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Stores / Warehouse Operative to their team in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

Permanent position after completion of a 12 week trial period.

THE ROLE:

* Receiving material and goods from suppliers
* Checking physical goods delivered versus actual delivery made, making reference to delivery notes, drawings, specifications and purchase orders.
* Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection.
* Liaise with Purchasing and/or Quality with regard to any discrepancies.
* Correct booking in and out of goods onto the company computer
* Physically locating materials and ensuring they are labelled and physically located correctly and the computer system is updated accordingly.
* Carry out regular inventory cycle counting in accordance with the business requirements ensuring inventory records are maintained accordingly.
* Issue of components/goods for miscellaneous requisitions
* Ensure the control and distribution of all documentation such as delivery notes, requisitions and all other associated documentation.
* Maintain the working areas to ensure they are clean and tidy.
* Ensure any goods and materials are stored and located in a safe and non-hazardous manner, paying particular attention to health and safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

* Goods in / Despatch experience in an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
* Fork Lift Truck Licence – Counterbalance.
* Numeracy and Literacy.
* Computer literate.
* Positive, professional attitude.
* Problem solving and willingness to succeed.
* Reliable.
* Team player.
* Ability to perform in a busy environment.
* Willingness to accept responsibility and perform without supervision.
* Full UK driving licence an advantage.
