Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has some experience and wants to develop their career within an interiors sub contractor.

This company are primarily a painting company but are increasing their range of work to carpentry and sash window repair work for timber restoration and conservation. Part of these projects will be on historic and listed buildings, English Heritage, Crown Estate, Grosvenor Estate and a growing number of castles and churches.

The Role;

• Project Variations – This would be a big part of the role in making sure that variations are logged, orders/instructions received, and prices agreed so that they are invoiced at month end. The financial management of this is really important.
• Month end valuations – Reviewing the work undertaken on each project in the 3rd week of the month so that valuation figures can be submitted.
• Project Management – Managing some of our smaller projects.

As part of the role you will be expected to:

• Work 8am – 4.30pm
• Possess a full UK Driving license along with possession of your own vehicle
• Primarily site based with a flexible commitment to days in the office
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• You will be provided with Laptop & Phone as well as PPE.
