About the role:
Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Product Manager to support their business growth. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds.
You will work closely with engineers, designers, marketers to help design and develop technologies that meet our customer needs. You will be responsible for guiding products throughout the lifecycle, focusing specifically on analysing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our customers.
You will have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and will feel comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders, with an ability to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
Some travel to customers and trade shows in UK, Europe, USA and Hongkong will form part of the role and a flexible can-do attitude will help you succeed. We offer flexibility in terms of agile working on completion of initial probation/training period. Due to the time difference with our companies, there will be a requirement to work outside of normal hours on occasion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements and ROI
- Analyse market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products
- Develop product positioning and ‘messaging’ that differentiates the brand and its features across primary market segments
Ideally you will have:
Degree in product design, engineering or business with a minimum 2 years relevant experience
Fluent in English with the ability to use MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Experience of an ERP system (Epicor desirable) inside a manufacturing company
