Electrical CAD Technician

Salary: £30,000 – £48,000 per year

Are you an experienced CAD Technician with an electrical background?

Due to a strong order book and further projected growth, we are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join the established design team of a specialist BMS controls company.

While prior experience designing control panels specifically for Building Management Systems would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from all candidates with proven experience in designing control panels for any application, and with a proven competence with AutoCAD Electrical.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working within an existing team, you will be responsible for taking detailed specifications and designs produced by the engineering team and preparing detailed Computer Aided Design electrical drawings which could include the control panels, and all cable runs and containment for the projects.

Principally an electrical design/drafting role focusing on the control panels, there is also the opportunity for those with wider Revit and BIM modelling experience to get more involved with those aspects. 

Key skills

• Competent user of AutoCAD Electrical
• Experienced in Control Panel design
• Ideally experienced with Revit
• Ideally with prior experience in designing control panels for BMS control systems.
