Part Qualified Management Accountant

My Client, based in Leeds, are currently recruiting for a Part Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with 2-4 years of experience. This role will be helping to support the Finance Manager with the ongoing review and implementation of the Accounting controls. You will need experience preparing budgets and forecasts, using Excel and SAP and also liaising with Senior Management and non- Finance Stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Ongoing development of the weekly sales reporting for all Joint Venture contracts
Work with Operations to review cost budgets agreed with Joint Ventures
Ensure spending is in line with agreed budgets and charges to Joint Ventures are made as soon as possible
Review event budgets on a regular basis and communicate any concerns regarding achievement of forecast profit as soon as possible
Monthly reconciliation of the Balance Sheet ensuring all balances are understood, investigated and resolved if necessary
Assist in month end close down
Work with Marketing to understand what spend is budgeted and report any variances to this.
Work closely with the commercial team to report profitability
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of budgets and forecasts that need to be submitted regularly
Ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions
Assist with any other duties as directed by the Finance ManagerQualifications & Experience:

Part Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA
Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting
Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot tables and Vlookup)
