Senior Management Accountant

Salary: £45,600 – £51,600 per year

Anderson Knight is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant for a client based in the south side of Glasgow. The role supports the Finance Manager with the day to day running and development of the management accounting team as well as customer and internal reporting, working across multiple clients and new business.

Ideally we are searching for an individual with previous staff management experience however we are also open to an individual who is looking to take the step up to management. The position incorporates a combination of technical accounting, staff supervision and stakeholder management across all departments and functions, both internally and externally.

The main responsibilities the Senior Management Accountant position entails are:

* Preparation of monthly management accounts

* Directly manage two members of staff

* Preparation of annual budgets

* Day to day control over P&L and Balance Sheets

* Prepare audit files and assist external auditors during fieldwork

* Review processes and actively make improvements

* Produce financial reports for key stakeholders

In order to be considered for the role you must possess the following:

* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA)

* Strong communication skills

* A proactive approach to work

* The ability to solve complex problems

* An outgoing personality

* A driven/motivated individual

Our client has a turnover in the hundreds of millions and there will be opportunities to progress your career internally due to the size of the finance team. The location is slightly south of the City Centre and there are parking facilities.
