Inside Sales Executive (Airfreight)
Reporting to the Airfreight Business Development Manager
General Responsibilities:
Working in close liaison with the Commercial Teams, have the ability to drive air sales and deliver results in accordance with the air budgets & targets from new and existing client portfolios ·
Possess a total commitment and innate drive to high individual commercial performance.
Execute professional sales and marketing processes focused on airfreight for the UK Commercial Teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist the Commercial Teams with day to day client management, including but not limited to, air pricing and driving air sales leads through CRM management & reporting Liaise with Heathrow Hub & Procurement regarding air pricing.
Update and maintain prospective customers on CRM, liasing with all Commercial Teams to ensure maximum output from sales leads Priovide Inside Sales Support to all offices by offering – missing/downtrading client management focusing on airfreight Cold calling program focused on developing air sales leads
Responsible for promoting and selling the Airfreight services of Co, for his/her defined accounts and in accordance with commercial policy.
To assist the Commercial Teams to prospect, sell and deliver new air business with an annualised through the till income as agreed with the Airfreight Development Manager.
To co-ordinate day to day air pricing on behalf of the Commercial Teams and to assist with the completion of tenders in accordance with rating guidelines to be provided by the Airfreight Development Manager & Procurement Team.
To assist with call planning, focused on airfreight customers and to follow up on new business leads. · To be responsible for client retention for defined portfolio of clients whilst proactively developing new revenue streams.
To assist with and to execute sales campaigns for new product/marketing initiatives.
Constructive interaction with the internal operational organisation to deliver high-level client satisfaction & profitability.
Ensure maintenance of a high general level of product knowledge in conjunction with other functional managers.
To assist with the gathering of market intelligence and communication with the relevant parties. · Other reasonable duties at the discretion of the direct manager.
Attend sales meetings as a air subject matter expert with the commercial teams as required.
Key Success Indicators:
KPIs and other feedback methods in conjunction with SMART Objectives as listed within WEBPA.
Key skills for the role:
Technical skills: Detailed knowledge of freight forwarding industry Extensive knowledge of the airfreight industry In-depth understanding of the dynamic business to business sales process Knowledge of CRM & Etrans Microsoft office (intermediate) IT skill (intermediate)
