Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

International Business Services company require ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified/QBE Senior Financial Accountant for a challenging role working for a UK Division of a leading business-services organisation based UK Head office in the Feltham area. This is a unique opportunity in the marketplace, providing support to the Financial Controller whilst challenging the status quo within this business. This position would suit someone that is currently working as a Senior Financial Accountant who will be looking to join a business that can offer career development within a short space of time.

Senior Financial Accountant – About The Role

An expanding international business-services organisation with a growing portfolio of key business clients. You will form part of an established and well-respected finance function for the UK part of this business.

Reporting to the UK Financial Controller the Financial Accountant will maintain the accuracy of UK Accounts and compliance with the internal and external reporting requirements of the ledgers. You will ensure that all measures are met in line with SOX compliance for internal and external audit purposes. This client is looking to appoint someone that either has the experience or capacity to take responsibility of managing the team in the near future. You will have an aspiration to develop your career beyond this role of Financial Accountant. This position will be a potential succession plan to the Finance Director.

This position will enable you to work in an established but effective small team providing support to the FC, FD and wider business functions. You will initially be involved in the following areas:

* Developing the Accounting function, enhancing processing efficiency and internal controls which will improve control of the UK business

* Supporting the Month End Reporting within the Group timetable

* Preparing or reviewing monthly accounts reconciliations according to Group requirements;

* Assisting with the preparation of the statutory reporting, including liaising with the Auditors;

* Governance of the master data in the financial systems.

* Assisting with the preparation of Corporate tax activities;

* Responsible for the maintenance of SOX narratives;

* Manage the delivery of the SOX deadlines for testing;

* Development of a SOX compliance testing plan;

* Support the budget & strategic planning process

This position will enable you to undertake an operational level role that has elements of business partnering across the organisation whilst undertaking some project driven responsibilities.

You will be working for larger multi-national business that offers a welcoming, supporting and engaging working environment. This client rarely recruits into their finance function based on the tenure within the team. There will be an opportunity to develop beyond this position relatively quickly and therefore you should have the ability to pick up this responsibility quickly and effectively.

The successful Financial Accountant will have:

Exposure to working within a multi-national Corporation
Experience of working within a controls environment, this does not need to be SOX
A desire to develop your career beyond this position of Financial Accountant
Previous experience of leading or managing a team would be desirable
