My client, a Government Department based in the Whitehall area of London is looking to recruit an experienced fraud investigator, at EO level, on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with investigation experience, either within the Central Government or within the police force, to gain additional skills at national level.
Duties will include:
” Creating and maintaining spreadsheets for analysis of bank accounts and other financial transactions.
” Undertaking initial analysis and presentation of evidence gathered in order to produce appropriate reports.
” Preparing and maintaining financial schedules and other forms of evidence.
” Preparing forms to enter documents in to the Evidence Management Unit (EMU).
” Liaising with external bodies in order to obtain documents and statements required under S2 notices.
” Assisting with the production of draft statements for Senior Investigators using information obtained from the case.
” Drafting reports on work performed and detailing results/findings.
” Preparing for, and assisting in interviews of witnesses and victims.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
” Ability to analyse and interpret numerical data (e.g. bank statements).
” A genuine interest in the Criminal Justice System.
” Effective use of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
” Experience of investigative work within a professional, law enforcement or financial environment.
