Trainer / Assessor – Dental

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading training companies, working in the Bristol area.

We are actively seeking a Trainer Assessor who will inspire learners to realise their potential as you support, advise and guide them through their apprenticeship training and assessment.

Delivering a professional and high quality service to the learners is key and underpinned by the quality procedures and Awarding Body requirements.

The Trainer Assessor will be responsible for:

Supporting learners through their specific apprenticeship training and assessment.
To provide learners with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decision to help achieve their goals.
Observing and assessing candidates in the workplace and providing feedback and guidance to ensure the learning standards are met.
To keep accurate reports and learner records.
Planning and organisation:

To ensure that the Dental Qualification / Framework delivery is planned to meet the Company’s income target and contract.
To ensure that learners complete their qualification within contracted time scales by applying effective time management systems for the learner.
Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each learner, create learner portfolios to agreed standards and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

Decision Making:
Examining Candidates portfolio of evidence and ensuring all standards are met. Setting further objectives to ensure standards are achieved.
Signing off the award when all the achievements have been met.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Hold a Level 3 assessor qualification in the Dental Sector and have operated at Dental Assistant level or equivalent.
If unqualified, have 5 years dental experience & be registered with the GDC.
An understanding of Work based learning.
Excellent communication skills
The ability to motivate and encourage people
A methodical approach to work
Accurate report writing and record keeping skills.

Success Measures:

The success of the post holder will be measured by:

Completion of the relevant Learning and Development (Assessor Qualification) within 6 months of joining the company.
All learner records are accurate and recorded within specific time scales.

Special Features:

Driving licence required, with access to a vehicle

Bristol area

If unqualified, the salary starts at £26,000. Upon achieving satisfactory grades a further £1,500. Upon PTTLS qualification a further £1,500 + bonus opportunities.
