Junior Regional Ehsq Advisor

Cubed Resourcing have been instructed on a new role for a Junior Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client; a world leader in the provision of specialty services to the energy, industrial and infrastructure markets. We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic personality, who is keen to progress in their EHSQ career. Ideally NEBOSH qualified however mentoring and funding the diploma for the right candidate is a possibility subject to completing probationary period. JOB PURPOSE

To provide professional advice, assistance and support to the UK & CI Infrastructure business on all Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality issues in order to meet the companies UK`s moral, legal and corporate obligations. 

To raise the profile of EHSQ within the organisation and our clients, also to champion EHSQ initiatives that will consequently enhance the reputation of the company UK as being an organisation that cares for its people and in which others have the confidence to engage. 

The role is especially focused on helping to minimise and ideally eliminate all safety, health and environment incidents and ensuring a professional level of service quality is provided to the companies UK Regional clients.

This position is based out of Ipswich and will cover Ipswich and the surrounding areas, stretching to central London. 

SPECIALIST FIELDS

We are looking for applicants with experience in the following areas:

– Construction
– Scaffolding

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIES

Qualifications & Managerial Experience 

– A working knowledge of safety, health and environment legislation relevant to the UK businesses and work activities
– NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (minimum requirement)
– Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (MIOSH) or working toward this professional qualification
– Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential

Technical Skills

– Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with all employees from senior directors to those carrying out the various manual trades
– Effective in communicating: writing reports, listening when conducting accident investigations and presenting when leading training courses
– Able to interpret H&S law and to present this for effective understanding and application.
– Diplomatic yet assertive in dealing with problems and issues
– Able to produce and deliver training
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Programmes (Computer Literate)
– Hold a valid and current driving licence

DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Personal objectives shall be set annually and be reviewed every 6 months as a minimum. The objectives shall be ‘stretching` and developmental in character with the purpose of enhancing the experience, capability and competence. Salary in the region of £36,000 – £42,000+ car.
