Project Manager (GIS – Spatial Data based in Edinburgh and Manchester)

The Project:
Working as a Project Manager, you will take a leading role in the management, development and delivery of a unique and nationally important IT project, working towards a set of specific objectives. You will be on client site in Edinburgh, Scotland for 4 days per week and in Manchester for 1 day.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Experience of working with spatial data and systems
• GIS Delivery experience (Geographic Information Systems)
• Experience of working in enterprise level business change programmes
• The ability to build strong and productive relationships with both colleagues and senior stakeholders, as well as with clients and to work effectively within diverse and cross functional teams
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to understand and interpret complex information

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Delivering digital projects and products with a good working knowledge of the Government Services Design Manual
• Experience of delivering effective and successful digital services and digital transformation projects
• PRINCE2 accredited (with proven experience of applying agile delivery within PRINCE 2 controls)
• Agile accredited (ideally SCRUM)

Objectives and Deliverables:
Working in a team of cross functional experts, you will take overall responsibility for ensuring the group works effectively as a whole, whilst ensuring the project remains within the predetermined timescales and budget allocations, to ensure value and quality is delivered. You will also be supporting consultations and building relationships with senior stakeholders on a daily basis.
