Salary: £33,600 – £38,400 per year

This is an AV support role to the facilities team with the core focus of the technical requirements for events which involve AV and some small IT support thereof. Reporting to the facilities manager but working closely with the inhouse events team to deliver first class customer service to a range of external clients and take the worry of AV away through managing equipment and supporting client needs.

There are a variety of meeting spaces of different sizes to cater for most meeting needs ranging from “set and forget” kit to more advanced vision and audio mixing within the meeting.

As part of the upgrade of AV equipment at the premises a mobile AV production kit will be utilised and a key responsibility. There could be occasions where UK travel might be required or training on the equipment for staff members to support their hybrid needs at an alternative location, but this would be discussed in more detail in advance.

When not supporting the events, support to the busy Facilities team will be essential. This could involve a number of ad hoc and hands on duties dependant on needs at the time ranging from support of the induction process for new starters to meter readings and fire alarm tests. During annual leave other tasks would be delegated to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Summary

• Act as our expert for meetings and collaboration tools, Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms predominantly

• Set up conference room technology for scheduled and ad hoc audio and video meetings for staff and external clients

• Answer technical questions to meeting organizers

• Prepare for upcoming hybrid meetings, rehearsal tests 

• Show and train staff how to use the equipment, book meetings and how each room works

• Licensing renewals for radio frequencies and TV licensing

• Liaising with support providers and arranging annual maintenance and contract renewals

• Responsible for the security and standard of equipment and maintain asset record

• Identify emerging trends in AV and tracking any special requests from clients that are currently not supported

• Testing and evaluation of new AV technology

• Support the facilities team as required and providing appropriate cover where necessary

Person Specification

• An ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of internal and external users alongside a controlled and calm approach to unpredictable and stressful situations.

• Working knowledge of a wide range of AV and related systems in a variety of formats, and a good level of IT literacy.

• Demonstrable time management skills and an ability to work under own initiative as well as coordinate and organise users in a sensitive and diplomatic manner.

• Well presented with a positive adaptable approach to problem solving.

Desirable

• Experience of web/live streaming, including to social media e.g YouTube 

• Experience of working within a facilities role

• Experience of Adobe Premier Pro would be useful

• Experience of IT Networking helpful

• Photography or videography experience would be of interest
