Head of Clinical Science

Salary: £240 – £330 per day

Broughton Nicotine Services are a Contract Research Organisation providing analytical, scientific and regulatory support to businesses in the e-cigarette sector, enabling them to increase the value of their business and advance a smoke-free future.

Main Purpose of job

• Excellent and articulate communicator with a passion for clinical studies

• Client-facing advice on clinical assessment of novel products / medical devices / drugs

• CRO selection and creation of strategic partnerships

• Act as the single point of contact for client or internal questions

• Being the company’s subject matter expert on clinical studies and acting as a representative for our clients or BNS at regulatory meetings

• Ability to articulate narratives around clinical data

• Lead a team of Principal, senior and junior clinical scientists and project managers

• Ability to act as a study monitor during clinical study conduct

Key person specification

• PhD (preferred) in a biological science or related discipline

• 10+ experience in clinical study design and protocol development

• Previous history with tobacco and/or nicotine-containing products highly desirable

• Significant track record in writing up clinical data for regulatory submissions and/or peer-reviewed publications

• Experience with clinical assessments required for regulatory submissions including PMTA, MRTP, NDA (FDA) and EU pathways

• Understanding the processes between manufacturing practices for investigational products and the expectations from regulators for different regulatory pathways
