Salary: £19.8 – £20.4 per hour
Randstad Care are the leaders in health and social recruitment and currently have a new vacancy that we are looking to fill for our client based in Central Cardiff. Our client is looking to recruit for a new recently approved post for a Clinical Lead/Mentor.
The client is a well established care provider who supply care within a residential and nursing setting across a network of care homes in South Wales. They are currently looking to recruit into the flag ship home.
The home is very modern and renowned for supplying high levels of care. With a new state of the art IT care system and established care and nursing setting is a great place to live for it’s residents and a great place to work for it’s staff. They have recently employed an in-house trainer and have a well structured team.
The role is unique as it combines clinical work, nursing, management and mentoring. They are looking for a nurse who has an understanding how a home is run and can work alongside the registered manager to take a lead in the clinical care provided as well as assisting the team of nurses and new members of staff. The suitable candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills along with a efficient work ethic whilst being able to keep the residents top of mind.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting the registered manager with daily management duties
Supervision of staff team
Mentoring of new and established members of staff
Support Assessments
Clinical nursing duties
Medication management
Pressure ulcer management
Audits
Recruitment and retention of staff
Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
Working with and assisting student nurses
Helping to write care/nursing plansThey are holder of the investor in people award and have been praised for the good practises that they follow by the local authority.
Suitable candidates will hold the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Degree within General Nursing
Previous care management experience
Previous nursing home experience
of working with older people who require nursing care
