ROLE: My client has a strong presence in the hazardous waste management industry. With a number of strategic hazardous waste treatment facilities and a wide ranging transport network they can offer these specialist services to all types of clients with a need.
You will use your knowledge of chemistry to asses incoming waste streams based on information provided by the sales team, ensure they are classified correctly and identify correct cost of disposal

This role does not involve a great deal of physical chemistry and mainly draws upon your chemistry knowledge

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Previous sectors you may have worked in: Hazardous Waste Management, Tank Farm, Chemical Production, Petroleum Refinery, Oil Refinery, Solvent Recovery, Industrial Production, COMAH site, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics Manufacture, Power Station, Environment Agency, Waste Water, Water Treatment, Sewage Plant, Anaerobic Digestion, Soil Remediation

EXPERIENCE:

You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.

YOU WILL HAVE a HNC in Chemistry or higher. Related Subjects e.g. Biology or Forensics will be considered ideally at higher than HNC where sufficient Chemistry modules were included.

Exposure to heavy industry or hazardous waste would be a plus, graduates with degree or above considered.

WAMITAB COTC
IOSH of NEBOSH safety qualification or similar
