Electrical Estimator

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator to join a well-established electrical contracting company.

Key Responsibilities to include:-

Initial analysis of an enquiry to establish approximate value, document quality and agree with team manager that the project aligns with company work profile.

Accurately interpreting the drawings and specifications to produce a costed tender return document utilising the Electrical Estimating software computerised package.

Interpreting pre-design, design and building constraints to produce competitive tenders

Using every opportunity to offer alternative products/Installation to submission with tender.

Obtaining and evaluating sub-contract quotations. Preparing client documentation to accompany the tender return.

Liaising with clients` procurement team whilst building and maintaining client relationships. Preparing information, cost plan for attendance at handover meetings with the site team.

Candidates:-

To be successful in this role you need to be an excellent team player with the ability to work on your own initiative. You will have a sharp commercial brain, coupled with a strong work ethic. You will either be looking for the next step-up or already are an experienced Estimator.

Experience:-

Wide range of tendering experience – commercial, high-end residential, retail and industrial.

Excellent technical knowledge. Experience in using estimating software including EES and Estimation

Electrically qualified with experience in a similar role

Be comfortable with tender values ranging from £100k to £2.5m

Mechanical estimating experience would be a bonus but not essential
