Finished Goods Buyer

My client are an award winning business who are now looking for an experienced finished goods buyer who ideally has finished good experience. This is all about someone who has the enthusiasm to take on the role ideally with 6 months – 2 years exp of purchasing the complete solution not just components to be used in production.

The successful candidate will:-

* Be degree educated

* Have CIPS or procurement qualification ideally

* Have min 2 years experience

* Have experience of finished goods purchasing

* Track record in strategic sourcing – inc market analysis, sourcing strategy, negotiation, supplier, relationship management

* You will be able to travel internationally on an occasional basis

* Be an excellent communicator both internally and externally

* Have good relationship building skills

* have a track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management

* Good analytical and problem solving skills

* Excellent negotiation skills

* Results driven and a real “do-er”

* have the ability to take the initiative

This is a fast paced, quick changing and challenging market so the ability to drive savings whilst offering internal customers their solution is essential.

You will manage 1-2 people (Buyer and Supply Planner) and have the ability to look at market intelligence to identify and share expectations of price, availability and supply base developments. You will manage sourcing projects and propose a sourcing strategy in order to optimise costs v value v risks.

You will be able to manage supply chain relationships, liaise with internal marketing colleagues for effective supplier innovation/NPD and oversee supplier performance.

You will be measured on your success by:-

* Finding gross savings from projects

* Have high performing suppliers according to KPI’s
