Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client based in the outskirts of Warminster is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant with a keen interest in customer service required for a busy timber merchant.
As a Sales Assistant, you will deliver exceptional customer service face-to-face, over the phone, and via email. The Sales Assistant will also deal with quoting, converting quotes to orders, processing orders, organising delivery schedules, dealing with customer inquiries, and assisting in the continued development of the shop. The role requires maintaining a good relationship with existing customers and developing new customers.
Basic Job Requirements:
Excellent customer and communication skills.
Confident handling phone calls and emails.
Processing quotes and orders and follow up where necessary.
Keeping displays well organised and regularly refreshed.
Advising customers with product selection and upselling.
Negotiate customer pricing.
Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and refill the shop.
IT and number Literate.
Good administration and organisation skills.
There is a great opportunity to learn further in areas of the business based on performance.
Candidates must have sales or Customer Service experience (minimum 1 year). Timber experience is desirable, but not required as you will be given training on product materials.
This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week Tuesday – Friday 07:30-17:00 but can be negotiable
Flexibility for some Saturdays (08:00-12:00) when required during a busy period.
For the right candidate, this will lead to a permanent position.
Salary: £26,000per year but can be negotiable depending on the candidate’s experience.
Candidates must have a driving licence due to the location of the job as there is no access to public transport.
