Salary: £24 – £31.8 per hour
RDR Ltd are working on behalf of a global process operator local to Teesside, due to promotions within the business they are now looking for an Instrument/Electrical Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the I/E infrastructure, ensuring that all equipment is installed and maintained so that it is safe, fit for purpose and compliant with all corporate and UK legislation.
- Manage, motivate and develop the engineering team
- Manage plant inhibits, trips and alarms
- Ensure Proof Testing, Protective Earthing and Hazardous Area testing is planned, scheduled and completed by due dates, escalating any significant defects
- Ensure area trip, sequence and control valve strategy is developed and followed across plant
- Develop team members to help transition the asset maintenance strategy to being more Predictive and Preventive and less reactive.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Candidates will hold a minimum Degree qualification within Instrument or Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience within Chemical Manufacturing industry
- COMAH or High Hazard experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant I/E British Standards i.e. BS EN 60079 series, BS 7671, BS 61511 etc.
- Experienced people manager, familiar with motivating the team, setting objectives and carrying out performance appraisals.
- Excellent influencing skills
