We are seeking an Early Help Programme Coordinator on behalf of a public sector organisation based in East London.
The role will be responsible for the Early Help Improvement programme, which includes arranging and minuting programme meetings and providing business support to the improvement programme team.
The role will require an understanding of best practice project and programme management (typically PRINCE2 and MSP) ensuring that deadlines are met, programme finances are robustly managed and the politically sensitive nature of taking forward a large change programme.
Key duties include:
- Tracking progress, monitoring and updating of each of the separate workstreams project plans, that feed into the overachieving programme improvement plan
- Tracking and reporting of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
- Tracking programme updates and reporting schedules and managing the forward plan
- Maintaining the Decision log
- Robust programme record keeping, including maintaining an updated stakeholder contact directory
- Managing the Change control process and change requests
- Management of programme meetings
- Manage the communication plan, including dissemination of communication in a timely way
- Apply a range of recognised analysis tools and approaches to achieve successful outcomes of the programme
- Arrange, minute and maintain the forward plans and action logs of programme meetings
- Complete and distribute monthly programme level reports
- Support the development of presentations to enable key stakeholders to easily understand complex information and issues
- Support project teams to conduct business process mapping in order to map the current and desired processes to support the transformation programme
- Support the programme manager and project leads to identify and to ensure that the needs of stakeholders are understood and that they are kept informed and involved
- Support in reviewing existing projects to ensure appropriate best practice and methodologies have been followed to ensure the technical risks from projects are minimised and also project timeframes do not slip
Requirements:
- Experience of working on a project or PMO
- Understanding and knowledge of MSP or PRINCE2
- An understanding of project and/or programme management, with experience of using recognised project management tools and approaches
- Good knowledge of performance management and reporting
- Demonstrable skills and experience in analysing data and using data to drive service improvements, change or improved outcomes
- Knowledge of developing or supporting the development of business cases and Project Initiation Documents, and/or options appraisals, and/or financial models for projects (ROI, cost/benefit), and/or Target Operating Models, and/or organisational Re-designs, and/or transformation
