As a leading technology provider, our client uses the latest technologies to manage, develop and maintain their customers’ IT environments. They are now seeking an ambitious Junior IT Support Technician to join their team based on-site at a school.

This is the ideal opportunity for a quick learner to develop their skills within a growing, supportive and dynamic IT company. The successful candidate will be provided with full and ongoing training to develop their career with the chance to gain industry recognised qualifications.

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for resolving user support issues as well as the administration of schools’ network and IT systems. You will ensure that the highest levels of customer service are provided at all times, queries are effectively and efficiently resolved and problems are escalated when required.

Although no experience is necessary for this role, you must have strong IT skills and, ideally, experience of supporting or administering the following:

– Windows 7 and 8, Microsoft Office, installing software
– Hardware upgrading, printer repairs and cabling
– Tablet computers e.g. iPads
– Microsoft Server, ActiveDirectory & Group Policies
– Network infra-structure including wired, wireless and Firewalls

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you must be a clear and logical thinker with a quality approach to customer service. Analytical and methodical, you should have a keen eye for detail and superb problem solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also key.
