Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

My client, based in the heart of Hull are looking to recruit an outstanding Finance Business Partner.
This is an great opportunity to join a business that has a strong strategy and innovative in their approach.

The main objective of the role is to assist the Director of Finance to deliver the Finance Business Plans for the organisation.
Helping to ensure that resources and staffing are fully optimised, this will involve strategic decision making, risk and performance management, whilst retaining professional objectivity.

The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day financial control and commercial activities, encouraging value for money (economy, efficiency and effectiveness) in all aspects of financial work.

The post holder will be the driving force behind the preparation, delivery and post implementation review of complex business growth opportunities.

The post holder will lead the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and ensure the service delivers accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans and reports.
In addition, they will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory financial practices and guidelines.

The post holder will provide leadership and line management to the Finance Team members and have management responsibility for the performance of the team and individuals within the team, ensuring that team members have the skills necessary to undertake their responsibilities.
This will include but is not restricted to, completing annual appraisals and objective setting in line with University KPI’s.

Skills, knowledge & experience
Full accountancy qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) or be qualified by experience.
Has appropriate professional membership
Has experience of budget management and commercial appraisal of strategic opportunities
Substantial management experience
