Grounds Maintenance – Japanese Knotweed Technician

Salary: £30,000 per year

We are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance / Weed Sprayer / Japanese Knotweed Technician on behalf of an Invasive Species Treatment Specialist in the South East. 

This is a permanent job opportunity paying to £30,000 per year plus overtime, company van, fuel card, 29 days paid holiday and enrolment into their company pension scheme.

The Company offers a full grounds maintenance, landscape improvement and winter services (maintenance, gritting and snow clearing) alongside their Invasive Species treatment and removal service to a wide range of clients throughout the UK with this role being centred on work in London and the South East.

As the Grounds Maintenance / Weed Sprayer / Japanese Knotweed Technician you will:

• Be working on pre-booked jobs visiting multiple sites a day which will include residential properties, commercial sites and open areas.
• Applying herbicides to Japanese Knotweed and other Invasive Species using a knapsack sprayer during the growing season.
• General grounds and landscape maintenance in the winter season.
• Assisting with the excavation of Japanese Knotweed and Bamboo and other landscaping related works.
• Record all completed tasks using their mobile app.

To be considered as a member of the Grounds Maintenance / Weed Spraying / Japanese Knotweed Team you will need:

• Your PA1 and PA6 Spraying Licences.
• A Driving Licence.
• Experience of weed spraying with ideally experience of Japanese Knotweed or other invasive plants.
• To be based in the South East and be happy to travel across it including in and around London daily.
