Salary: £26,000 per year

At Babcock, our Workshop Receptionists provide an extremely high level of administrative support to our workshop-based operational management teams. Our dedicated workshops operate right at the heart of our customers’ operation; taking responsibility for all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) repair and maintenance activities.

This role is varied and busy – inputting data; processing job-cards; raising purchase order numbers; and managing a front of house reception, are just some of the things you’ll be responsible for. This role is ideal for someone who already has demonstrable administration experience. What’s just as important however is your ability to learn new tasks quickly and efficiently, and your ability to multi-task. Competent IT skills across the full MS Office suite, excellent communication skills and a confident, friendly and approachable manner are also needed.

This role also requires applicants to have a full UK driving License and the flexibilty to work on a 4 on and 4 off shift rotation covering the working hours of 7am – 7pm.

Working across a range of sectors and environments, Babcock delivers critical resilience solutions for diverse organisations. In places like airports; for the emergency services; within the defence and utilities sectors; we ensure that complex operations have the infrastructure to look after their customers and their people.

Our success depends, without exception, on the quality of our teams. Across every level of our business, we recruit individuals who understand and appreciate exactly how vital Babcock’s services are. People who never compromise on health and safety; who respect and challenge each other; and who strive to deliver the very best for our customers.

People who deliver resilience; people who can be resilient.

Offers of employment are normally subject to satisfactory references and other required pre-employment checks. Successful applicants may also need to satisfy Security Clearance requirements.

If you do not have the Security Clearance required for a particular role you may not be able to start your employment until clearance has been obtained. For this role,, you will need to satisfy requirements in order to gain an Airside Pass. To secure an Airside Pass, you will be required to provide full referencing for the last five years; accounting for any gaps in employment for 28 days or longer. You may also need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (previously CRB checks).

Babcock is committed to having a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We are also committed to honouring the Corporate Covenant and supporting the Armed Forces community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and country.
