Workshop / Warehouse Assistant

*PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN APPRENTICESHIP*
Plastic Fabrication Company in SW19 is currently seeking an Apprentice to be trained up as their Workshop/Warehouse Assistant. Duties will include: –
Workshop/ Warehouse:-
Day to day assistance within the workshop.
Cleaning up and putting tools and material offcuts away throughout the day.
Learning plastic fabrication techniques e.g. cutting, drilling, polishing
Unloading deliveries and checking for damages and labelling for specific jobs.
Racking new stock and rotating with old.
Managing high volume stock inventory list & raising order requests when running low.
Retail shop exposure:-
Answering phones when team are busy and taking contact details and short messages.
Filling out delivery notes for account customers when they come to collect goods.
Helping customers load goods to vehicles

The successful candidate will also be given training on using a laser cutter.

You must be able to do simple arithmetic, using a calculator is no problem but you must have an understanding of numbers and be able to measure something with a ruler. Must be able to write numbers clearly. Must be literate to the point of being able to read an order sheet and understand what it means and write messages that can be understood.

This is a great opportunity to learn while you earn in a government funded Apprenticeship which is ideally suited to a recent school/college leaver.
