Job: Warehouse Assistant / Driver

Our client are an experienced international supplier of broadcast and professional video equipment. Their clients span the entire communications market and range from budding video amateurs to major broadcasters.

The company uses SAP Business One for its’ business software and Microsoft 365 for mail and will migrate to this solution for all other documents.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor

The major tasks are. (Full training will be given)

Receive stock and sign for it making sure it’s in good condition and no shortages in accordance with the Goods Receipt Note. (GRN)

Enter stock onto SAP computer system using the GRN and matching to the Purchase Order making sure all serial numbers are captured and correct bin location is registered on SAP stock record.

Put stock away into correct bin location.

From SAP pick and pack manager, select the day’s deliveries to pack and ship. This is an ongoing task throughout the day. All items must be securely packed and a tracking number obtained from DPD.

At the end of the day, assist the DPD delivery driver with loading his / her van.

On occasions we deliver to customers in our own Van. We also occasionally collect items from customers and Suppliers.

Undertake periodic stock checks.

Resolving stock discrepancies.

Keep storeroom clean, tidy and hazard free.

At year end (31/10) ait may be necessary to work at a weekend to complete the year end stock check.

We are a small company and whilst everyone had their own role on occasions it is necessary to help out in other departments. We also have Supplier open days which can involve everyone to some degree.

This is a full time job a 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30. Holiday is 20 days plus public holidays. Sick pay, first 20 days at full pay then 20 days at half pay, then statutory sick pay.

Personal Attributes: Physically strong, clean driving license. Able to communicate on all levels.
