Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

SUMMARY OF JOB

Responsible for accurate & efficient stock movement in & out of warehouse

To ensure that all warehouse activity is performed in accordance with the approved procedures.

Skills and ability

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB ROLE

Qualified fork lift truck driver (Counter Balance Indate licence)

Good level of fitness

Good teamwork skills

To complete paperwork and count stock items quickly & accurately

Basic computer skills

Honesty and reliability

A willingness to work on a flexible basis.

Commuication

Liaise with delivery drivers, Stock Controller, Production Supervisor, Line Leaders & Engineering to ensure that materials are available to facilitate the production schedule.

Responsibilities

To offload incoming goods, inspect the receipt for transit damage, check the delivery against the supplied paperwork & pass the documentation to the Stock Controller.

If inadequate or no delivery note is received with incoming goods; to assist the Warehouse Supervisor in creating a written record of the receipt & pass this to the Stock Controller.

To locate all materials in the warehouse & maintain an accurate location record.

To assist the Warehouse Supervisor in picking materials from the warehouse to meet the production schedule.

To collate component returns from production orders & re-locate within the warehouse.

To record all issues & returns on the appropriate pick list, calculate net usage & return to the Stock Controller for reconciliation.

To ensure that all materials kept in the warehouse are suitably protected to prevent spoilage.

To strictly maintain a “FIFO” protocol for all materials.

To receive filled stock from the production department & hold in readiness for despatch.

To ensure that where appropriate, only goods with micro quarantine release are despatched.

To inspect all collection vehicles to ensure they are in a suitable condition to transport the goods without damage (water tight; sound load deck etc).

To perform routine maintenance of fork lift trucks.

The accurate collection of data & its communication to the Stock Controller.

Problem solving

To maintain an open mind at all times to allow effective resolution of both short and long term issues.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety rules & procedures

Ensure that all warehouse equipment is used in a safe manner at all times

Ensure housekeeping is of a sufficient standard to meet safety & external audit requirements.

Ensure that all PPE is used properly

Ensure that fire exits remain clear at all times.

Organisational ability & GMP

Ability to prioritise and organise own work.

Maintain the workplace including the yard in a clean and tidy state.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.15pm

Friday 8am to 1pm

Salary: £26,000 – £28,080per year to £26,000 – £28,080 per year

Temp to Perm after 12 weeks
